Sophie Lever has over 30 years’ experience in the legal industry in Queensland, starting work as a paralegal in 1987 and then completing her Bachelor of Laws in 2003. Sophie specialises in all aspects of property law, estate planning and administration, retirement villages law, Foreign Investment Review Board aspects of property purchases, commercial leasing and small business transactions.
Sophie is a member of the Queensland Law Society and is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia.
On a community level, Sophie holds an Surf Life Saving Bronze Medallion and a Commendation for Brave Conduct awarded by the Australian Government. She has served as a Treasurer of the Bli Bli State School P & C, a Director of the charitable organisation "Breast Angels", a Board Member of the charitable organisation "Beautiful You" and is currently the President of Sunshine Coast Business Associates Inc, and the Secretary and a Life Member of the Twin Waters Residents’ Association.
When not at work, Sophie likes to spend time travelling, cooking and gardening.
Len is our practice manager and comes to us vastly overqualified, having worked in the financial computing sector for most of his career, having held the positions of General Manager, IT Manager, Analayst Programmer, Project Manager and Payroll Manager for various corporate companies.
When not in the office Len can be found on the adjoining Twin Waters Golf Course trying to improve his handicap.
Stan Rafty joined Lever Law in August 2018. He is a valuable addition to the team as he is a very experienced practitioner in Family Law, and is an Accredited Family Law Specialist. He can also assist in matters of Estate Litigation, Civil Litigation and Personal Injuries. Stan’s no-nonsense attitude to his clients results in cost effective and efficient legal services. Stan has been practising on the Sunshine Coast since 1987 and has been a solicitor since 1985. You may already have crossed paths with Stan as he has worked with Schultz Toomey O’Brien Solicitors/the Slater and Gordon group for the past 17 years. Stan enjoys keeping fit and you can find him most days swimming laps at the local swimming pool.
Clare Eichmann began her legal career in 2010 as a receptionist and junior paralegal. She then joined our team in 2013 as a junior conveyancer and has progressed since. Clare now holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Southern Queensland and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from The College of Law.
Clare is a member of the Queensland Law Society and is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia.
In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Kara holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce, and was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2010. She is a member of the Queensland Law Society.
Kara recently relocated back to the Sunshine Coast and joined the Lever Law team in early 2017. As a Solicitor at Lever Law, Kara advises across a broad range of commercial and property matters including acquisition and sale of businesses; acquisition and sale of commercial and residential property; retail and commercial leasing; off the plan developments; and liquor licensing. Kara’s strength lies in her ability to listen and understand the needs of her clientele, and her commercial approach to legal advice and ensuring client's outcomes are achieved.
When Kara is not at work she enjoys travelling, surfing and chasing after her young daughter.
Sue has only recently joined the Lever Law team as Personal Assistant to Sophie Lever and Kara Lawson. Sue has over 20 years’ experience working in legal offices and has gained valuable knowledge within most areas of law throughout that time. She is delighted to work with such a dynamic group of individuals that pride themselves on delivering the best service in the business. Sue is local to the area and enjoys spending time with her family and can often be seen walking her 2 black Staffies around Twin Waters.
Karen has over 20 years experience working in legal offices. She joined the team at Lever Law in June 2014.
Karen primarily assists in Probate and administration of estate matters alongside with Sophie Lever. She deals with the executors and administrators of deceased estates and guardians of represented persons. She enjoys creating a friendly relationship with clients who are often upset at the loss of their loved ones and also enjoys the daily satisfaction of guiding and supporting clients through challenging times when required.
Karen also provides strong support in a variety of roles within the office.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and socialising with friends.
Tracy joined our conveyancing team in 2019 and quickly became part of the family. Originally from South Africa, she has worked as a conveyancer in Wagga Wagga NSW and most recently relocated from a conveyancing role in Kingaroy to live permanently on the Sunshine Coast. Outside of work, she loves listening to good music and spending time with her treasured daughter Kaylee.
After a 3 year break from Conveyancing, Jana has recently joined our team and is excited to be back in what she says is her favourite job she's ever had, whilst being surrounded by such a supportive team. Jana loves seeing clients successfully buy and sell their properties. Jana became a Justice of the Peace and completed a Certificate IV in Legal Services in 2014.
A "Coastie" since 1978, she has seen many changes as the Sunshine Coast has, and continues to, develop. In her spare time Jana loves to travel, entertain and crochet, amongst other crafts.
Prior to commencing with Lever Law in 2021, Tiffany worked in the hospitality industry for 6 years. Tiffany has progressed from receptionist to assistant conveyancer. Tiffany enjoys the busy and fast paced environment of conveyancing and the challenges she faces every day. Outside work Tiffany enjoys spending time with friends and family, going to the beach, and travelling when she can.
Phalen has worked in customer service/hospitality for 5 years, this is her first time working in the Legal Industry. She strives to give exceptional client assistance and is enjoying being in an environment that allows her to learn something new everyday. Outside work Phalen enjoys walking her dog at the beach, socialising with friends and reading.
Holly has worked since she was 14 in customer service/hospitality roles and prides herself on delivering an exceptional client experience. Her role at Lever Law is Assistant Conveyancer so she is effectively on her “L-Plates” in conveyancing. In her downtime, Holly enjoys going to the beach with her dog, travelling and cooking.
Iesha joined Lever Law in 2018 as one of our receptionists. This is her first time working in the legal industry and so far she is enjoying the busy and fast paced environment. She enjoys the contact with clients and having the opportunity to learn each day. Outside work Iesha enjoys travelling, relaxing at the beach and socialising with friends.
Lily Bott is employed as one of our receptionists and administrative assistants. She loves the constant contact she has with our clients. Lily is studying her Bachelor of Laws part-time at QUT and hopes to join the business as a solicitor soon. In her downtime Lily enjoys watching AFL and spending time at the beach.
